Korindo Energy has supported the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) in the development of new hybrid-electric multi-purpose patrol vessels. The Kumera Helseth’s Controllable Pitch Propellers (CPP) Package and Gearboxes were supplied by Korindo Energy, enabling the vessel to operate in a continuous medium-speed mode with a diesel-electric power supply. This mode uses one of the two main engines to propel both shafts while recharging the batteries. As a result of this mode, emissions are reduced, as well engine wear is reduced.
